We currently have an antenna setup to monitor the ADS-B (1090Mhz) radiowaves for aircraft around Fun Acres. We share this information to online platforms for tracking and historical purposes.

The map below will show all the aircraft our Fun Acres Antenna is currently picking up.
About the Hardware
Raspberry Pi 4Gb RAM
Hexa Boost 3.6FT Antenna 1090Mhz 8dBi
Running Raspberry Pi OS
SDR USB Stick – Realtek RTL2832U
Dump1090-Mutability (How to install) <– Captures the signal from the Realtek device.
ADS-B Exchange Feed Client (Learn More) <– Takes the feed from Dump1090 and uploads it to the site.
So far we are able to pull signals in ~80 miles away. However, that is only good for aircraft above 6,000FT (unless close). Anything lower we are combating against the curve of Earth and the tree line.
